Hannah Sithole1 StarToday, I decided to drive across town to complete a couponing Sunday at this CVS location because they had the items I needed and I occasionally come in while I’m at work around the corner. I’ve never had an issue at this location until today. I was the first to arrive. I was the only one in the store with the employee until probably 8:45 or so. When I coupon I keep to myself while I find my item and check things I my app. I never bother anyone as most in our community do. I was approached by Olivia the first time and told I was not allowed to check out using self check out. I felt like she was checking on me after that and looking at the items in my buggy. It made me uncomfortable. I know almost all the store polices and CVS does not require you to check out at with a person at the check and you are couponing. I approached the when I was done and I had organized things to get clarification. She insisted this was the CVS cooperation policy, the the store was busy, people would yell at me if I was at self check out, and she had to check me out. I was still one of the only customers in the store with her at that time. I explained my normal process, how I was not new to this, and I and been to other CVS before. She was very condescending and rude saying well at this location we do it this way and I HAVE to check you out. Don’t worry everything will be recorded. At that point I was extremely anxious and I did not feel comfortable but I had worked hard to get all my items so I was not going to let an employee stop me. I asked if she would let me check out the way I needed to with my extra bucks and my coupons and she said yes. I got the checkout with her. She made this big deal acting like she was talking into an earpiece to management in an office (she was the only person there, and it was creepy). She said the comment several times about us being recorded like I was a thief or doing something illegal. I told her I had 8 transactions, but I did not have a lot of items I just needed to roll my extra bucks (for those that coupon you will know exactly what I am talking about). She tried to tell me I was couponing wrong, she was the coupon queen. She tried to bully me into one transaction which is NOT the way to save the most money as a couponer. The whole time I was checking out she offered me her personal opinion which I never asked for as I am an experienced couponer. She was rude, condescending, and almost gave me a panic attack. I also placed a pickup order. She made a big deal after I checked out about how I was delaying her filling the orders. I went to my car to run errands but within just a few minutes the order was clicked off as ready. I had to talk myself into going back inside because this location was not close to my house. I went back into and she almost physically pushed past me and said it’s not ready. I just said it was clicked off. She said well I have other orders to fill now. I waited a few minutes and she begrudgingly put my items on the counter into a bag. I almost left in tears. I’ve never had such an awful experience. She also practically yelled at another customer trying to use a coupon at the self check while she was checking me out. I’ve never seen this at any other CVS in the metro Atlanta area. I called corporate. I will never return not even for a snack. I left shaking and I almost had a panic attack. Olivia should be ashamed of how she treated me and this other customer today. She does not deserve the title of “manager.” Her badge said shift supervisor by the way, not manager. I hope the district manager actually addresses this.Monday 2nd December 2024
Rachel Turner2 StarI've been getting my prescriptions from this pharmacy for 2 1/2 years now and always had a positive experience, however, today has me wanting to switch pharmacies. I have been trying to get my daughter's prescription filled for weeks now but can't since there's a shortage and it's been on back order. This is pretty common, so I've gotten used to it. However, this time I have a paper scrip for her so that the pediatrician doesn't have to call it in each month (got three months of scrips spaced out). This means that instead of receiving a text once it's filled, I have to keep going in person to ask if they have it in stock. When I asked if there was some way for me to be notified when it is in stock (so I don't have to keep going in person each week just to find out they don't have it) the pharmacy manager seemed annoyed and said that she can't notify each person when they have it and asked "do you know how long of a list that would be?". 1. No I don't, I'm not a pharmacist. I'm just a mother trying to get my child's medication. And 2. I was not suggesting that she personally call me up to let me know when it's in stock. I was asking if there was an automated system in place that could notify those waiting on medications that they're in stock. Seems like a system pharmacies should have so that pharmacy managers don't have to be annoyed by people like me trying to get medication for their children. But I guess I'll just keep driving over there to ask in person if they have it.
I'm sure that they do get people in there who don't understand the situation and act entitled as if they are the only ones waiting to get their medication, but I am always polite and patient despite the panic I'm feeling inside at the thought of my daughter trying to get by without her medication. The lack of care or concern from a pharmacist is just really disheartening.Monday 7th October 2024
Max Vande Beek5 StarThe person who helped check out and sign up for the membership, Olivia, is super nice and you can tell she’s not her workflow down. She managed to help multiple customers while I was downloading the app but she was still there to help me set up the app without any issues. You can tell she’s a hard worker!Thursday 8th August 2024
Gracie Gralike5 StarI had a great experience here! I was in ATL for a trade show and I could tell that I had a sinus infection. I was able to book an appointment for the MinuteClinic here. Everyone in the MinuteClinic was so nice! They diagnosed me quickly and I was able to get my prescription at the pharmacy. The lady working the regular register at CVS was super helpful too. I was also buying candy for the trade show and she took such good care of me! Highly recommend this location. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews, but I wouldn't listen to them! I had great experiences with MinuteClinic, the pharmacy and the store!Thursday 7th November 2024
Kimberly Smith1 StarBEWARE! The pharmacy mgr at CVS #2089 on W Paces Ferry Rd made me order a monthly blood pressure prescription in a 90 day supply and blamed it on the insurance company. When I asked for a 30 day supply (I have an upcoming dr appt where this prescription is likely to be changed), I was told the insurance co was requiring me to get this in a 90 day prescription and the only way I could get 30 days supply of this prescription was to pay the cash price which was 800% more than the 90 day prescription price. So I called my insurance co and was told that in the notes of this prescription, there is an override code that is provided for the pharmacy to use if I only wanted 30 days worth. But the pharmacist needed to use the arrow down button to scroll down to see this override code. She didn’t even look for it when I shared this prescription was changing in the next 2 months.
Also I called CVS customer service asking for the district mgr to call me back. That was 2 weeks ago and still no callback. Guess CVS doesn’t care that their pharmacist’s are making their customers buy more of a prescription than they want or need!!Tuesday 10th September 2024
